The Mill at Shady Lea Find us on Facebook

Welcome

Welcome to our mill. This special place stands as a testament to my Dad,  Andy Reisert,  who began this project in the mid 80s.  Today we have over 40 studios which house many talented and creative people.  For some, it is a place of escape where their creative juices flow undisturbed by the fast pace of their daily lives.  For others, it is a place of business where they can enjoy the best of both worlds as they make a living plying their craft and enjoy the antiquity of an old mill full of local history and flavor.  Most important it is a place of bonding as artists and artisans work together and support one another in their endeavors.

We are always looking for anyone who can add to our information about our mill.   If any of your ancestors were part of the early history of this wonderful place, we would enjoy hearing  from you.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE OUR OPEN STUDIOS SUCH A SUCCESS IN THE PAST .
THANKS TO ALL OUR GIFTED, TALENTED TENANTS WHO MAKE THE SHADY LEA WHAT IT IS TODAY.
THANK YOU TO OUR NEIGHBORS WHO GIVE US THEIR SUPPORT AND PUT UP WITH THE TRAFFIC THAT INVADES THIS QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD EVERY YEAR FOR THESE DAYS.

WE WANT TO THANK OUR FANS WHO HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO BRAVE THE WEATHER, TRAFFIC AND CROWDS TO VISIT US DURING OUR OPEN STUDIOS DAYS.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT OUR NEXT OPEN STUDIOS IN THE FALL

MEANWHILE, SOME OF OUR MULTI-TALENTED ARTISTS AND ARTISANS ARE HERE EVERYDAY, SOME ARE OPEN FOR SPECIAL HOURS ON THE WEEK-ENDS AND OTHERS ARE OPEN BY APPOINTMENT.  YOU CAN CONTACT THEM THRU THEIR EMAIL ADDRESSES OR WEBSITES FROM OUR WEBSITE.
